Flex part time classes are open to all students. Students who attend a school must have the course approved by their school counselor.

Students can take one or more courses, including popular options like HOPE or Driver Education. Check out the course catalog linked below. Sign up is simple.

No. Students work through course content independently—anytime, anywhere and assignments are due each week according to the student’s pace chart. Teachers provide support through scheduled live lessons, which are also recorded, and by-request tutoring sessions

Discussion-Based Assessments (DBAs) are oral assessments with teachers. They occur at critical points in the course and students must successfully be able to discuss recently learned content with the teacher.

Students must have access to the internet and any laptop or desktop computer. Mobile devices do not allow access to all features of the course.

Students enrolled in Algebra, Geometry, Civics, Biology, or U.S. History must take the End-of-Course (EOC) exam, as it counts for 30% of the final course grade.
Testing will occur at the start of the 2026–27 school year. For exact dates and additional information, please work with your school’s testing coordinator. -
Families should review the student’s 2026–27 schedule with their home-zoned school to confirm that any
OCVS coursework—whether in progress or already completed for credit—is not scheduled again.
