Full-Time OCVS students are required to participate in all District and State Assessments.  OCVS is a school of choice and follows the same state guidelines as traditional schools for all course requirements.  All students/families should review the links below for the most current information.  

 

All Home Education Students must schedule their own testing at their home-zoned school.

Full-Time OCVS Student Testing

  • FAST ELA & FAST Math

    FAST is given 3 times a year: Fall, Winter, and Spring.  The first two exams are progress monitoring and give you information on how your child is doing.  
     

    PM3 (the Spring test) is the one that counts toward accountability.  Third graders must receive a Level 2 or higher on the FAST ELA test to be promoted to 4th grade. 

  • FAST ELA, FAST Math & BEST Writing

    Science for 5th Grade ONLY

    FAST is given 3 times a year: Fall, Winter, and Spring. The first two exams are progress monitoring and give you information on how your child is doing. 
    PM3 (the Spring test) is the one that counts toward accountability. 

    BEST Writing is only offered during the first two weeks of April. 

  • FAST ELA, FAST Math*, BEST Writing, and Civics EOC*

    FAST is given 3 times a year: Fall, Winter, and Spring. The first two exams are progress monitoring and give you information on how your child is doing. PM3 (the Spring test) is the one that counts toward accountability. 

    BEST Writing is only offered during the first two weeks of April. 

    *Students only take FAST Math if they are taking a Middle School math class.  If they are taking Algebra or Geometry, they take the EOC instead.

    *The Civics EOC is only for students who are enrolled in that class.

    10th graders must receive a Level 3 or higher on the FAST ELA test to graduate.

  • The following classes have a State EOC in addition to the class curriculum. To receive credit for the class, you must take the State Test. It does not matter what grade you complete these classes.

    Algebra 1 EOC - Must be taken and receive a Level 3 or Higher for Graduation Requirements.

    Geometry EOC - If students do not pass the Algebra EOC but pass the Geometry EOC, it can meet the requirement for graduation.

    Biology EOC - Must take, but do not have to pass for graduation.

    US History EOC - Must take, but do not have to pass for graduation.
