Full time OCVS students are registered as public school students and are required to participate in district and state testing and have the opportunity to earn a State of Florida high school diploma.
In order to be accepted as a full-time student for fall 24-25, the student must meet criteria as follows

Reside in Orange County.

Be currently enrolled in school and actively working in classes.

Have current passing grades (A's B's C's)

Unweighted overall 2.0 GPA and be on track to graduate (total number of credits commensurate with grade level and cohort year entered for 9th grade)

Have attained grade level proficiency on the following standardized tests:

- Reading Language Arts assessment (FAST ELA PM3) level 3 or higher
- BEST Geometry/BEST Alg 1 test level 3 or higher
- SAT Test (480 on evidence based reading/writing, 420 on math)
- ACT Test (18 average on the reading/English sub tests, 16 on math)
- Grade level proficiency on an official standardized test administered by another public school system
Current OCPS students: Parents/guardians only have to submit the online application. Academic and testing history is already in the database for review. However, you will be contacted if additional information is needed for your child's application.
Currently Out of District or private school students: Parents/guardians must submit students’ academic records (transcripts or report cards), any and all standardized test scores for review. Within a week of submission date please submit by fax to 407-445-7446 or email to [email protected] In the subject line put OCVS Application, the student’s full name and grade. (Example: OCVS Application Documents John Smith Grade 11) APPLICATIONS CANNOT BE PROCESSED UNTIL ALL INFORMATION IS RECEIVED.
Currently Out of District or private school students with special needs who have Individual Educational Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan must submit copies of current plan by fax to 407-745-7446 or email to [email protected] within a week of application submission date. In the subject line put OCVS Application, the student’s full name and student ID number and grade. (Example: IEP Document John Smith Grade 11)
*Submitting an application does not guarantee enrollment to the Orange County Virtual School. Students must meet criteria for full-time enrollment in order to be accepted.
If accepted DO NOT withdraw from current school until semester 2 final grades are recorded and report cards are received
