OCVS Program Info Grades K-5

Virtual education for elementary students (K-5) is provided through our district partnerships with FLVS. In order for students to be eligible for the full-time program, the student must meet the eligibility requirements listed below.

Grades K-5 Criteria:

1. Children who are five years old on or before September 1, 2020, are eligible to start kindergarten in August 2020.

2. To enter first grade, a child must be six years old on or before September 1, 2020, and must have successfully completed kindergarten (Florida Statute 1003.21).

3. Have demonstrated success in the previous 2 years of school. Final report cards (If the student is moving to 1st grade, then submit kindergarten final report card ).

4. State/District testing scores FCAT, FSA, FAIR, AIMS Webb, iReady, Other Assessments from the 2018-2019 & 2019-2020 school year.  If the student is entering Kindergarten, no test scores required.

5. Reside in Orange County

Eligibility: Section 1002.45, Florida Statutes restricts student eligibility for the district virtual instruction program to students residing within the district’s attendance area.
